“You don't make a photograph just with a camera. You bring to the act of photography all the pictures you have seen, the books you have read, the music you have heard, the people you have loved.”
― Ansel Adams

When my husband gave me a camera, I discovered that I have a passion for photography, to capture images that might otherwise go unnoticed and be lost forever. Lower Alabama, or LA as it is called down here, has so many diverse photographic opportunities; from the beaches and waterways so rich with wildlife, to the small towns and farms that I remember from my childhood.

I am excited to have the opportunity to share my work with you, and I welcome your comments and feedback. You can find more of my photographs on my Facebook page at
